1915-2002En sus inicios profesionales, a mediados de los anos 30, Witney hizo un poco de todo: fue montador, ayudante de direccion e, incluso, guionista, pero a partir de 1937 se dedico a la realizacion, convirtiendose en uno de los directores prolificos de Hollywood, en este caso para la productora Republic. En sus primeros anos como realizador, se especializo en seriales realizados en colaboracion, en particular con John English.
